Apathy into Action: Social Justice Conference
Call for Presentations: January 2014
The Regina Public Interest Research Group (RPIRG) is excited to announce the 7th annual Apathy into Action, our social justice conference at the University of Regina. For the past six years, Apathy into Action has been providing a chance for students and community members to come together and learn about pressing social and environmental justice issues. This year, Apathy into Action will take place from Thursday January 23rd until Saturday January 25th, 2014.
We are pleased to announce an open call for presentations. We are looking for presentations for Thursday the 23rd and Friday the 24th; these presentations should focus on current social and environmental issues facing students and the larger Regina community.
On your application, please include:
- your name, field of study (if a student), contact information, and the topic you will be presenting about
- a brief background of the topic you would like to present and why this issue is important to Regina students and community members
- a rough outline of how your presentation will be organized, as well as the length of your presentation (presentations can be 30 mins, 50 mins, or 75 mins long)
- how this topic is related to RPIRG
