Thought-provoking Public Events

RPIRG is organizing three exciting public events!

On February 7th, Gwynne Dyer, Canadian journalist and author, will be speaking at the University of Regina on the “Triumph of Violence”. The talk will begin at 7:30 pm at the Education Auditorium, ED 106. For more details visit the event Facebook page.

On February 14th, we are hosting a social movements and organizing panel: Revolution in the Time of Love at Bushwakker Brewpub at 7 pm. The panelists (Aidan Conway, Erica Lee, Leah Keiser, and Michelle Stewart) will discuss labour solidarity, and LGBTQ social movements immigration and refugee concerns. Check out the event Facebook page.

On February 15th, Beautiful Trouble trainers and seasoned activists, Tracey Mitchell and Morrigan Phillips, will share personal activism stories and inspire the university students and community members with new ideas of how to make positive changes in the local community. The presentation will take place at the Unitarian Fellowship of Regina at 7 pm. For more information on Beautiful Trouble and the presenters visit the event Facebook page.

All three events are free and open to the students and community members.
