Welcome! RPIRG is currently providing a no-questions asked bursary to students (while funding lasts). This means we will not ask you to demonstrate financial need nor ask you what you are spending the funds on. If you are struggling to make ends meet right now, we want to support you. We will continue to work on ways to get more to students, and will continue to share other funding and aid resources on our COVID19 resource page. We encourage you to check out this page!
How this fund works:
Any University of Regina, Campion College, Luther College, or FNU students (including those attending the Saskatoon or Prince Albert campus) can apply. You can also apply if you are attending a different post-secondary institution located in Regina (for ex. Sask Polytech-Regina campus, SIIT). You can also apply if you are a recent graduate of any of the above within the last 6 months. At this time, students can only apply once for $50. As we get a better sense of need and if we can add more to this fund we will reassess amounts. This funding is meant to serve very short-term needs – it is a small amount but this way we can distribute it to a wider number of students.
How to apply:
Please simply fill out our request form – it can be found below or by clicking this link – the only required information will be your student number, contact information, how you would like the funding distributed, and your consent to use your contact information to fulfill the request.
We are only collecting contact information for the express purpose of getting funding to you, and once this program has closed we will delete it. If you cannot accept funding electronically or by mail we will work with you to arrange pickup or delivery. If you are having any trouble filling out the form, please do not hesitate to contact our Executive Director Krystal (she/her) by email (email@example.com) or phone (306.737.5739)
If you submit a request and think you made an error please do not resubmit – just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with any adjustments that need to be made. Thanks!
Distribution of funds:
There will only be one person working on distributing funds, who will endeavour to fulfill requests as soon as possible. This will most likely mean that requests will be fulfilled a couple of times per week.
