CALL FOR PROPOSALS

We’re seeking a collaborative team of (up to 3) Saskatchewan artists to serve as Artists-in-Residence for the duration of the 2016 Generating Momentum Youth Leadership Training camp, August 25-28, 2016 at Camp Easter Seal, Manitou Beach, SK.  Over four days, the Artists-in-Residence team will lead a variety of activities including facilitating workshops, developing a collaborative art project, and performing or displaying original works of art related to themes of global citizenship and social and ecological justice.

The objective of this residency is for Saskatchewan artists who are dedicated to social, ecological and global justice, and who are interested and experienced in exploring these issues through their practice, to work collaboratively in delivering arts-based activities throughout the camp in order to increase empowerment of youth leaders and activists.

Expression of Interest Form

Deadline to Apply: Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 5:00 PM.

To Apply: submit the following documents as clearly labelled email attachments to communications@earthbeat.sk.ca with the subject line “Artists in Residence Team”:

  1. Artists’ CVs
  2. Completed Expression of Interest Form outlining your group’s qualifications and experience;
  3. Description of project (maximum 2 pages) outlining your proposed workshops; performances / presentations, and collaborative art project, including:
    • material and space requirements;
    • how the project will engage youth.
  4. 2-5 samples of each artists’ work (photos, writing, video, MP3, etc). Please make video or audio files available online (i.e. links to ie Vimeo, Youtube, Soundcloud) and provide timecodes if you wish us to view a specific clip. Total running time is not to exceed 10 minutes.
