Green Patch Planting Week 2026

As the weather warms up and spring blossoms into summer, The Green Patch is excited to announce its 2026 gardening season! We are gearing up to start planting and we're inviting volunteers to participate in our annual planting week from May 18th to May 23rd. During the planting week, volunteers will work in the garden from 3 pm to 7 pm every day. Everyone is welcome to participate, and no prior gardening experience is required.

We suggest volunteers to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty, as well as a hat, sunglasses and water. We also advised to wear sunscreen and bug spray, we will have extra if needed. The Green Patch team will provide all the necessary gardening tools and supplies, if you have your own we encourage you bring it.

The Green Patch, a student-led garden, has been dedicated to cultivating a sustainable community garden on campus for several years. The garden is not only a source of fresh produce but also serves as a space for students and community members to connect with nature and learn about sustainable practices. RPIRG wants you to be apart its impact!
