Shape the change—be part of the RPIRG General Meeting

The RPIRG General Meeting is an opportunity for students to come together, share ideas, and help shape the direction of initiatives that matter on campus and in the wider community. Whether you’re interested in social justice, environmental justice, sustainability, or getting involved in student-led projects, this meeting is a space to learn, collaborate, and have your voice heard.

We host two types of general meetings: Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Special General Meetings (SGMs). The AGM is held once each year, typically in the fall semester, though it may occasionally take place in the winter semester. With recent changes to our general election process, we will likely hold General Meetings in both the fall and winter semesters. Special General Meetings are convened only for specific purposes, such as elections, or when called by the Board or membership in accordance with our bylaws.

At a General Meeting— most likely in an AGM— members review and consider our financial statements, appoint or reappoint the auditor, and make other important decisions brought forward by the Board or the membership.

Annual General Meeting 2026

We invite our members to join for our Annual General Meeting (AGM). All University of Regina students registered in the Fall 2026 semester who have not opted out of their RPIRG membership are eligible to participate in and vote at the RPIRG AGM. Community members and organizations holding RPIRG memberships are welcome to attend, but are not eligible to vote. The meeting will take place in Education Auditorium 106.2 , and student members attending in person will be asked to sign in with their student number at the door to help record attendance and establish quorum. Refreshments will be provided for everyone in attendance.
