If you come across any event, educational seminar or workshops, please send us a request to add to our calendar to outreach@rpirg.org.
The annual Queen City Pride Parade is our signature event that fills Regina’s downtown with rainbows, smiles, and pride. The first Pride Marches took place on the sidewalk because organizers were refused a permit. Participants wore masks and bags to cover their faces and protect their identities. Today’s Pride Parades continue to be an important place to make our community’s presence known. The fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and equity is still alive and Pride is just one of the many ways in which we bring attention to these important issues. Our dancing, singing, and laughter are a celebration of the journey that our communities have taken to reach this point. This free, family-friendly event brings people together for an afternoon of food, activities, and shared celebration. Open to all ages, the gathering will include opportunities to connect, enjoy fun activities for children and families, and honour a decade of building a safe and supportive community. Community organizations are also invited to take part through booths, activities, or cultural experiences. Free to attend. All are welcome. Come join us on August 14th from 10 am to 1 pm, as we host our Green patch Garden Harvest, located just behind the Dr. John Archer Library at the University of Regina! This event is all about bringing people together to celebrate the power of sustainable, community-grown food. Over the past 14 years, we've been committed to growing a variety of fresh, pesticide-free vegetables, and now it's time to harvest them and share the love. All of the produce we collect will be donated to the YWCA and Carmichael Outreach, helping to provide healthy, environmentally friendly food to those in need in our community. This session shares practical strategies to grow more food on a budget, helping households reduce grocery costs and build greater self‑reliance. Taught by Brooke Coller. Registration is required.
