Welcome to our new Executive Director and Green Patch Coordinator!

RPIRG is excited to welcome Naomi Beingessner as our new Executive Director and Taneal Brucks as our new Green Patch Coordinator!

Naomi is currently completing her Masters degree in Justice Studies at the University of Regina, focusing on food sovereignty in Saskatchewan. Naomi also has a Bachelors degree in Education and has previously taught at the high school level here in Regina. With Naomi’s interests and skills in the food justice and social equity areas, we are sure she will be a vital and wonderful new addition to the RPIRG team.

And since Naomi will be leaving her position as Green Patch Coordinator once she begins her new role, Taneal will be taking over the Green Patch responsibilities! Taneal has been a helpful volunteer since the Green Patch began. She is an avid gardener and spends the winter months dreaming of the next growing season! She is in her 3rd year as an International Studies student with a concentration in International Development. Her current interests are food sovereignty, hydroponics, and sustainable food practices, such as organic production and composting.

Best of luck to Jenn Bergen in her new endeavours with SCIC- you will be missed!
