RPIRG calls for volunteers for 10th year Green Patch anniversary season

Volunteer at your student-run community garden.

RPIRG is now recruiting a pool of up to 50 volunteers to assist in the Green Patch and orchard between now and the end of September. Currently, the garden is not open to the public due to COVID-19 and we need to be very careful about tracking when volunteers are coming and going. To do this, we will be creating a volunteer shift sign up form, as well as providing thorough written and in-person orientation training for all approved volunteers.

In order to maintain the safety of everyone who will be working in or having any contact with the RPIRG Green Patch and orchard due to COVID-19, we have put a number of guidelines in place that have been approved by the university, as the garden is grown on university property. As a Green Patch volunteer, you will be expected to adhere to these guidelines, and contact staff to report any needed information or to ask any questions so we can make sure you understand everything.

Volunteers will begin helping in the garden on June 2nd, Wednesday. Prior to starting your shift, you will receive all necessary training, both in person and virtually. So, RPIRG is requesting you to sign up as soon as possible so that we can get you started volunteering sooner than later.
